Leighton Meester, an American singer, model, actor and songwriter, is a multi-talented artist. Her fame is centered around her character 'Blair Waldorf' in the TV drama series 'Gossip Girl.' Leighton Meester began her career working in the business as a child. When she was a kid she was a part of a local stage production of "Wizard Of Oz," after which her passion for acting increased. Madekwe came from a multicultural family. Born within South London. Her father and mother are both English. She was raised in a council estate south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was obtained.
