Shannyn Sossamon

Shannyn Sossamon played the female lead in the indie romantic black comedy Wristcutters: A Love Story. The film has been nominated for several awards including the Sundance Festival's Grand Jury Prize, two Independent Spirit Awards, as along with the Humanitas Prize. The Holiday, Dirt, Catacombs, as well as Dirt, FX, followed. In the same way, she was able sign on to CBS' vampire-drama Moonlight as Coraline Duvall. Madekwe came from a multicultural family. Born within South London. Her father and mother are both English. She was raised in a council estate south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was obtained. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights. Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage.
